PUPPY GUARANTEE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT
72 Hour Guarantee
The seller agrees the puppy is in good health at the time of sale. Seller agrees to replace the puppy (if another one is available) or refund the cost of the puppy if a licensed veterinarian judges it to be in a non-healthy condition upon arrival. The examination must be within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the sale is on a weekend, the sale is considered to be at 10 a.m. Monday. The puppy must be returned to the seller unharmed. No veterinarian fees or transportation costs will be paid. Great care has been exercised to ensure the puppy is free of parasites, worms, coccidia or giardia.Since these are very common in puppies, the guarantee does not cover these very treatable conditions. 1 Year Health Guarantee
HEALTH GUARANTEE AGAINST GENETIC DEFECTS THAT MAKE THE PUPPY UNSUITABLE FOR A “FAMILY PET.” Buyer understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered serious or life threatening and therefore are not covered: umbilical hernia, inguinal hernia, cherry eye, undescended testicle, inverted vulva, under or over bite, grade 1 or 2 patellas. We also do not guarantee adult color,final weight or behavior of the puppy, we work hard to love our puppies, socialize them and believe all puppies can be trained. All of our puppies are vet checked at 6 weeks. If any of these problems are evident at that time, you will be informed before taking your puppy home. If a genetic defect occurs that makes the puppy unsuitable for a pet after the 72 hour guarantee, the puppy will be replaced by a puppy of equal value when available after verification from a veterinarian has been received and reviewed by Seller’s veterinarian. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs incurred for a replacement puppy in the case of a genetic defect or Buyer may choose to keep the puppy and accept all responsibilities. Seller is not responsible for shipping costs.
The Seller states that the puppy has received the following vaccinations: (1) Intra-trac 3 protecting against kennel cough, (1) Nobivac 1-pv shots at 4 weeks protecting against Parvo, and (2) Nobivac 5-way shots protecting against distempter, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and coronavirus at @ 6 & 8 weeks. Puppies are wormed with Pyrantel at 2, 4 & 6 weeks. Puppies are given Albon 7- 7 ½ weeks to harden their stools due to the stress of changing homes. Puppies are wormed with Panacur for 3-5 consecutive days at 7 1/2 weeks old. Buyer is required to follow up on puppy booster shots at 12, 16 & 20 weeks, then yearly for the puppy’s life. A rabies shot can be given at 12 weeks, which is strongly recommended for the protection of your puppy and your family. Worming is recommended every month for the first year of the puppy’s life; as well as flea and tick prevention. It is strongly cautioned to keep your puppy away from public places such as parks, sidewalks, and grasses until your puppy is properly vaccinated with all 3 5-way boosters. Parvo will not be covered after the 72 hour period the puppy is taken into your care. While vaccines are a preventative, they are not 100% effective.
Injury beyond seller’s control is not guaranteed. Should death occur, BUYER will provide SELLER with a veterinarian statement stating the cause of the death, to be examined by the SELLER’S Veterinarian. If justifiable by both vets, Seller will then provide replacement puppy if available and if not a refund of puppy price. THE SHIPPING FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Buyer agrees this puppy will be given adequate and proper shelter and housed securely whether indoors or in a fenced in yard. This dog shall not be neglected, allowed to roam free in large cities, or mistreated in any manner. The puppy shall receive proper veterinary care throughout its life, receiving annual vaccinations and other preventatives. The puppy shall receive proper nutrition and care shall be taken to maintain its proper weight. Buyer agrees to give this puppy proper training and socialization
Trupanion Pet Insurance
Trupanion Insurance offers 30 day free pet insurance. We require everyone to set this up. I have had puppies undergoing surgery within the first week of being home from swallowing something. Puppies have also contracted Parvo being exposed before the booster shots were completed. ER visits and surgeries cost well into thousands. Please be proactive with your pup’s health. PUPPIES ARE SOLD WITH A LIMITED UNITED ALL BREED REGISTRATION (NOT USED FOR BREEDING)
This written agreement is a binding contract in the State of Missouri and is the entire agreement between the buyer and seller concerning the health conditions or loss of this puppy. Any litigation commenced shall take place in the state of Missouri in Newton County.
